Revenue Share

Vine Money's revenue share model is a pivotal component that bolsters its ecosystem, striking a balance between sustaining the protocol and rewarding its dedicated participants. This approach ensures that while the protocol treasury is sufficiently funded for future growth and development, active participants are also rewarded for their commitment.

Revenue Distribution Overview

  • Protocol Treasury (50%): Half of the accumulated revenue is directed to the protocol treasury. These funds are earmarked for operational costs, future developments, protocol improvements, and other initiatives that contribute to the long-term sustainability and expansion of Vine Money.

  • VINE Stakers (50%): The other half is redistributed to users who stake their VINE tokens, locked as veVINE. This distribution is based on each user's lock weight, which is a measure of their stake in the protocol over a certain period.

  • Revenue Share Calculation: Revenue shared with VINE stakers is proportionate to their lock weight in the system. Revenue is streamed in real time and available for users to claim at any time. Lock weights are recalculated on a weekly basis.

Benefits of the Revenue Share Model

  • Incentivizing Long-Term Commitment: The revenue share model brings real utility to the VINE token, encouraging users to stake their VINE tokens for longer periods, fostering a stable and committed community base.

  • Direct Reward for Participation: By redistributing 50% of the protocol’s revenue to VINE stakers, the protocol ensures that its users are directly benefiting from the success and growth of the platform over the long-term.

  • Sustainable Protocol Growth: Allocating 50% of the revenue to the protocol treasury supports ongoing development, security, and operational efficiency, essential for the long-term success of the protocol.

Strategic Importance of Revenue Share

  • Enhancing User Loyalty: By offering a tangible financial incentive, the model fosters a loyal user base, crucial for the protocol’s longevity.

  • Balancing Economic Interests: This dual distribution approach ensures that while the protocol is self-sustaining, users are also equitably rewarded, aligning interests across the platform.

  • Adapting to Market Dynamics: The model provides flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, allowing adjustments in distribution ratios to align with the protocol’s evolving needs.
